THE BEFORE

Raw Satama is a concept-driven branding atelier founded by Michelle, an industrial designer and creative director working at the intersection of strategy, aesthetics, and meaning.

With a background in industrial design from Tecnológico de Monterrey, and a concentration in fashion, arts, and objects, her approach is rooted in research, conceptual thinking, and craftsmanship. A formative period in Florence further shaped her sensitivity to material, culture, and timeless design, alongside a certification in sustainable product design.

Her collaborative work has been recognized and exhibited internationally, including at Design Week Mexico, Museo Espacio, NYCxDesign, and WantedDesign, through projects exploring speculative design, social impact, and the future of objects.

Before founding Raw Satama, Michelle worked across luxury real estate branding, freelance practice, and within an international marketing agency—where she led creative direction and design execution for one of the country’s leading streetwear retailers. Her work spanned visual identity, campaigns, packaging, retail design, and production.

In 2025, Raw Satama was established as an independent atelier.

The name translates to raw harbor, a place where ideas arrive unfiltered and are refined into brands with depth, clarity, and distinction.
